Thursday, April 21, 2011 at 02:00PM Two years always seem like enough time when a gallery exhibition is first confirmed but procrastination and other projects always seem to make the time come up fast! All of a sudden fevered last minute leaping takes hold but happily no snags were encountered and the group exhibition I'm involved in entitled "the Reclaimers" is up and opening tonight at the Mary E Black Gallery in Halifax. Drop in and see the amazing work of several junk artists.

I booked into Studio 4 when there were no but studs to imagine a room out of but the building reno taken on by Rick and Anke Lex surpassed everyones expectations 10 fold. An old hotel that had fallen on hard times and was threatened with demolition is now a thriving arts centre that houses a dozen artist studios, the Bay School of Art, and the Tremont cafe and bookstore.
